Message from The President -
Dear LRLA Members and Supporters,
This is my last message as President of your Association. It has been an invaluable learning experience serving as your President for the past year. I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our members for making 2006 a great year for the LRLA. This past year we have worked hand in hand with our law schools, other legal and community organization, judges and our elected officials. As we continue to grow and get more involved in our community I have come to the realization that our association has changed the way LRLA is perceived within our community. By reaching out to the Community and elected officials we have shown our commitment to the future of Raza and our quest for equality in this County.
I m proud of what we have accomplished so far but, we are not done yet. We have many more walls we need to tear down. The Executive Board and I have been committed to do the best we can to represent you but, we can t do it alone. Some of our accomplishments this year has been working closely with law enforcement and other community organizations, working with Latinas in the Law, the Legal observer program, the Judges forum and elected officials night just to name a few. I thank you and urge each of you to get more involved this coming year, by attending the monthly meeting and volunteering to assist in our various committee s. Together we can accomplish a lot more.
Once again thank you for
your support, assistance and the opportunity to represent you this past
year.
